About the Community Housing Fund

The Community Housing Fund is a way for the Jackson Hole real estate community to acknowledge that Teton County would not be what it is without the dedicated, hardworking professionals who call this place home, but who struggle to find stable, affordable housing. It is a proactive way for agents, buyers and sellers to help bridge the gap between what a home costs and what our local workforce can afford.

Twenty-two Fund Founders pledged over $150,000 to the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust to close out the $2.1M capital campaign that will create 24 affordable homes for 55 dedicated, local professionals at 174 North King Street.

Anne Cresswell, Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust, said, “The warm and enthusiastic response from the real estate community for the Community Housing Fund was inspiring. Their support was unanimous and their gratitude for the work of dedicated professionals in our community is sincere. With the support of the Community Housing Fund, the Housing Trust is delighted to close our fundraising efforts on King Street so that we can prioritize design and development work on our future projects.”

On spearheading this fund, Devon Viehman said, “I am proud to have been able to see this idea through from start to finish. So many community members love this town and want to live and thrive and contribute to their community, but their unstable housing makes it challenging or impossible. They inspired me to kick start this fund-- our community needs this fund more now than ever. And I have never felt more fulfilled than I have while fundraising with Anne Cresswell for this worthy cause.”

“Listening to so many community members who love Jackson and who want to live and thrive and contribute to their communities, but whose unstable housing makes it challenging or impossible, inspired me to keep going…”
